INA Solar rolls out 'Azaadi Mahotsav 2026' campaign to push solar adoption

The two also pointed to the company's scale. INA Solar currently runs an annual solar module manufacturing capacity of 5.5 GW, and it's building on that. A new facility is coming up in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, which will add 4.5 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity along with 18,000 metric tonnes a year of aluminium frame production. The company says the expansion sits neatly with the government's Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat push, and strengthens the domestic solar supply chain in the process.

On the product side, INA Solar makes TOPCon solar modules in the 500 Wp to 635 Wp range. These serve a broad set of buyers, from rooftop residential users to commercial and industrial projects, solar parks and solar pumps. According to the company, the modules are built for high efficiency, reliable long-term output and strong performance across different kinds of installations.

INA Solar plans a mix of digital outreach and on-ground activities under the Azaadi Mahotsav 2026 banner, aimed at walking consumers through both the financial and environmental case for going solar. The idea is to reach people where they already are, online and in their neighbourhoods, and turn general interest in clean energy into actual installations.

For a sector that has leaned heavily on subsidies and policy signals, moves like this reflect a shift toward direct consumer persuasion. Whether the messaging translates into wider adoption will depend on how households and small businesses weigh the upfront cost against the promise of lower bills down the line.
